Ah, the fluff.
This is what takes Blood Bowl to the
next level, when it moves beyond a bunch of pixels or figures moving
about a screen or table, when it really comes to life.
"Fluff"
is the additional stories told around players and teams that brings
life to the game beyond its ruleset and into a fantasy setting limited
only by a player's own imagination.
Blood Bowl is set
in a fantasy universe, so inherently there is a level of fluff backing
the different races - orcs, elves, chaos, halfings, creatures and beasts
from all corners of the fantasy world. Some players use a less
traditional way to fluff up their teams, referring perhaps to their
favourite football team or television show.
Fluff does come with a caveat - when your favourite fluffed up player dies horribly, it becomes a much more harrowing experience!
